Welcome to the upcoming Senior Men’s Curling Season
This document is for those Senior Men who have indicated a desire to curl in our Tag Draw section. It serves as a reminder to our returning members and provides guidance for those of you who are new to our group.
Instructions:
You MUST sign up prior to 6pm the night before you wish to curl, to allow for the creation of teams.
If an unexpected event occurs preventing your attendance after signing up and being placed on a team, please contact the draw master of the day. The Draw masters schedule and phone numbers are available on the Whitby Curling club Web Site at Leaque Pages/Senior Mens/Tag Day Curling-Colour System, and listed on the daily team assignment sheets as well.
How do I sign up for daily tag curling?
There are two ways to sign up.
1. You can sign up after logging in to the WCC Web site at Leaque Pages/Senior Mens/ Tag Day Curling-Colour System.
2. If you have a free google account you can also use the shortcut links below to the Sign up sheet and the daily Team Assignments.
Team and sheet assignments will be published after 6pm the night before. We will endeavor to have them also displayed on the TV upstairs in the morning.
Sign up Sheet:
Daily Team and Sheet Assignments:
If you are asked if you want to download Google Sheets or Docs the first time accessing the sheets, make sure you say yes.
When signing up just click the box next to your name indicating what day or days you wish to play. If you make a mistake do not hit delete or the contents of that cell will disappear completely. Just click the box again to uncheck your name.
Please be sure you are not checking or unchecking someone else’s box.
Do not sign up for days you do not honestly intend to curl.
About the Colour System:
Come November, we will be utilizing our colour system which identifies which colour is the spare colour for that particular day. The active colours are shown on the Draw masters Schedule. This of course only comes into play when we have more than 48 curlers signed up. Don’t be afraid to check in even if your colour is not active that day. You can check if you have been placed on a team the night before. Your assigned colour is indicated on the Sign Up Sheet.
IMPORTANT:
I would encourage our new curlers to become familiar with the sign up process by checking early prior to the start of curling. Reach out if you are having trouble.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the ice again.
Regards
David Taylor
