WCC Food Drive a Success!
We accomplished our goals. This is what 1150lbs of food, 1275 diapers and $350.00 looks like. All this was dropped off to the Whitby Salvation Army on Saturday December 19th. Thanks to everyone at the WCC for all your generosity!
Ben and Kyle had an idea to help a local charity by starting a food drive at the Whitby Curling Club. Over the last 4 weeks all members were encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item each time they curled throughout the weeks leading up to the Christmas holidays. We're pleased to announce that we raised 1070lbs of food and over 750 diapers to be donated to the Whitby Salvation Army and the St Andrews Presbyterian Church Food Hamper Program for local residents. A very big thanks to all of the Whitby Curling Members who donated food and their time to make this drive a huge success! It couldn't have been done without your generosity.
