Our Ladies Book Club meets the last Monday of each month. Our meetings are held at the Whitby Curling Club and they begin at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us. If you are curling, just 'brown bag' it and head out to the ice after our meeting. During the winter months we take turns bringing soup for a nice warm lunch! We meet upstairs in the Bradley Room. No need to worry about not reading our chosen book over the summer. We all had something different to read and will share our thoughts so if you are interested in joining us, please do! Don't forget to come with suggestions for our next book.
Next Meeting: Monday February24
Book: The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
Upcoming Tentative Meeting Dates: February 24, March 30, April 27
Some of our reads from this past year: Educated by Tara Westover, Becoming by Michelle Obama, The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See, The Gown by Jennifer Robson.
Often a book we have read comes to the 'big screen'. This prompted 'movie nights'. Watch for emails regarding dates and movies. Everyone is welcome and bring a friend too. You don't need to be a book club member.
Books we would recommend from this year: Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
