In March 2018, the Senior Men played "The Bump" special event game and the first place winners were Ken Noakes, Ernie Philipiew, Rick Winkley and Paul McShane.  The second place team was Doug Pascoe, Peter Watson, Jim Yeates and Geo Bilodeau with the third place team being Gary Yates, Eric Jones, Julius Zilinski and Steve Rousell.  All the teams then enjoyed a hot lunch upstairs.  Congratulations to the winners.  In the photo below are Ken, Ernie, Paul and Rick.

 

2018 bump winners


In February 2018, the Senior Men enjoyed a game where the curling button was replaced by the 12 foot circle.  The 1st place winners were: Walter Mueller, Raymond O'Toole, Dave Cabel and John Huitema with 18 points .  The 2nd place team was Frank Meany, Ed Goslin and Bill Moore with 17.25 points and 5 ends won while the 3rd place team was Tom Steen, Peter Watson, Bob Weckman, and Elford Fairles with 17.25 points and 4.5 ends won.  After the game, a hot lunch was served in the dining room.  Congratulations to all.  In the photo below are: John Huitema, Dave Cabel, Walter Mueller and Raymond O'Toole.

 

2018 12foot winners


On Thursday, january 4, 2018, the Senior Men enjoyed another Special Event titles "3-2-1" where the rules of curling were adjusted slightly to create more scoring interest.  The first place winners were: Walter Mueller, Ron Zuber, Dave Trimble and Sandy Carroll.   Congratulations.

2018 321 winners


On December 7, 2017 the Senior Men participated in a Mini Spiel Special Event.  As shown in the photo below, the first place team was: Blair McKague, Winston Muschett, Steve Rousell and Bill MIllar.  The second place team was: Gary Yates, Tom Doyle, Julius Zilinski and Brian Gower.  The third place team was: Paul Barnett, Ray O'Toole, Bert Goodfellow and Peter Conrad.  Congratulations to all.

The Senior Men's annual Closing Bonspiel was held on Thursdsay, April 20, 2017 and the first place winners are shown in the photo below.  From left to right are: Paul Morgan (who spared for Raymond Gorecki in two of the four games), Rick Van Dusen, Don Cranston and Julius Zilinski.  Congratulations.

Thirteen senior men's competitive teams curled every Friday morning throughout the 2016-2017 season with year end closing playoffs.  The 2017 Division "A" winners were Team Cameron as shown in the photo below.  From left to right are: Stephen Smith, Ron Cameron, Randy Chew, Bruce Pizzolato, and Ron Fennell.  Congratulations.

The Whitby Curling Club is located in Whitby, Ontario. It is a Not-For-Profit organization that was founded in 1958. It has 6 sheets of ice, lounge, and dinning hall. It has recreational curling leagues for anyone 8 years old or older. It offers a great facility for team building execises and meeting space.
