On April 6th, the winners of the 2017 Senior Men's "Skins" game are Ted Birchard, Ernie Philipiew, Bob Weckman and Sandy Carroll.  The 2nd place team was Ian Jackson, Trevor Wilson, Bob Leczel and George Bilodeau.  The 3rd place team was Keith Howard, Tom Kearns, Peter Watson and Julius Zilinski.  After the game, we enjoyed ham and scalloped potatoes in the dining room.

CONGRATULATIONS to Gerry Marois, Gary McConnell, Ernie Philipiew and Doug Sauer for winning the 2017 Toronto Curling Association's Goldline "Grand Masters Division" Men's Championships.

On March 2, 2017 the Senior Men enjoyed another special event.   The "Bump & Stay" winners were: Bill Fitzpatrick, Eric Jones, Don Cranston and John Huitema. 

The 2nd place winners were: Bruce Pizzolato, Walter Mueller, Cyril Turgeon and Doug McNabb.    The 3rd place winners were: Doug Sauer, Don Fletcher, Tom Munt and Bill Miller.    Congratulations to all.    All curlers feasted on lunch upstairs after the curling event.

On February 2, 2017 the Senior Men played the "12 Foot" Special Event where the button is replaced with the 12 foot circle.  The first place winners were Tom Steen, Don Fletcher, Bob Weckman and Ron Algate.  The second place winners were Ken Noakes, Ray O'Toole, Steve Booth and Randy Boudreau.  The third place team was John Gale, Tom Doyle, Ernie Phillipiew and Julius Zilinski.  Congratulation to all and the lunch was pork schnitzel.  In the photo below ( L to R ) are Tom Steen, Ron Algate, Don Fletcher and Bob Weckman.

 

2017 12ft winners


On January 5, 2017, the Senior Men enjoyed a special event titled "3-2-1" where winning rocks in each end were worth either 3, 2 or 1 point each.  The first place team was Stephen Smith, Eric Jones, Peter Conrad and Ron Irwin.  The second place team was Blair McKague, Rick Van Dusen, Dave Werry and Julius Zilinski.  The third place team was John Gale/Ted Birchard, Winston Dixon, Peter Watson and George Bilodeau.  Congratulations to all.

 2017 321 winners


 

The Whitby Senior Men collected $5,030 for the local Salvation Army Christmas Hamper Program.  The money was presented to Charlie Burns, the Director of Community and Family Services for the Whitby Salvation Army, on Decmeber 9, 2016.  In the photo below is Charlie Burns and Trevor Wilson.  Well done everyone.  You have made a better Christmas for many families in need in Whitby.  Thanks.

The Whitby Curling Club is located in Whitby, Ontario. It is a Not-For-Profit organization that was founded in 1958. It has 6 sheets of ice, lounge, and dinning hall. It has recreational curling leagues for anyone 8 years old or older. It offers a great facility for team building execises and meeting space.
